It all started in the laundry room of a student dormitory in Johannesgasse, right next to the music university at the time. (...) At least every other evening in 2006, they met in the basement and often played until two or three o'clock in the morning. (...) Pieces were tried out, rearranged (pure trombone ensembles are rare) and added to the repertoire - or not. (...) Now, almost 20 years later, the four musicians have unpacked the piece again, and it has ignited. (...) It fits perfectly into the new program: “Collage” is about the different stages of life, in music and lyrics, which are illustrated by pictures and come together on a canvas to form a collage. (...) It is not a linear narrative, but an immersion in memories, moments, special or everyday, which are thus snatched from oblivion. (...) We are all fathers and we talked about how quickly everything changes with children. (...) The texts range between funny and thoughtful, between ironic and profound, between poetry and dialect, which is also reflected in the choice of pieces. (...)
