Stefan Obmann

Due to my wide-ranging artistic activities both as a soloist and with renowned orchestras and ensembles, I have had the opportunity to acquire musical knowledge and skills in a wide variety of styles from baroque music to classical, popular and contemporary music. I am particularly interested in new music. People often shy away from new music, but I prefer to experiment joyfully with contemporary music.

Music education is also very close to my heart. I regularly organize concerts for children to introduce them to the trombone. Furthermore, I am also active as a teacher and often teach at workshops and courses to convey to the next generation of musicians that music is about much more than just playing the right notes.

Whether as a musician on stage or as a teacher: it is especially important to me to convey a passionate joy in music. And this is exactly what continues to inspire and motivate me.
